The 2008 Weipa Fishing Classic will be held from Friday 6th - Sunday 8th June, coinciding with the Queen's Birthday long weekend at the Weipa Campus, Western Cape College, Weipa, Cape York, Far North Queensland. The 2008 Classic will be run solely for community benefit, with all proceeds supporting a large number of local community and sporting groups.
The Classic is the region’s most iconic annual event, providing sponsors with a significant opportunity to promote their products and services in the region as well as luring a large contingent of visiting sport fishers and 4-wheel drive tourists from intra and inter state.
